Abstract :
This thesis is a research on"The investigation of Quest in Molana"s Mathnavi."
Since, Mathnavi is a great book of human learnings and consists of various subjects,
each of which can be a case for any research, so mystical issues in Mathnavi are great
and deeply discussed and regarding these subject; states of mystical perfection and
mystics stations in spiritual experience is so wide. Quest is one of the most important
among these. As far as the writer"s information, no independent and sufficient research
is done from the Molana"s point of view, so far. Therefore I chose this issue for my
thesis.
This thesis exceeding preface includes four chapters. In the first chapter titling
generalities, the problem, the hypothesis, the main question, the aims, the background,
and the researching method as well as statistical community is discussed,after the
introduction a brief survey in Molana"s life has been written at the end. In the second
chapter the expression of Quest has been defined according to some of the Sufi
masters then in the third chapter in a octastichous division different issues regarding
Quest and Molana"s view point in this regard is followed. Chapter four is allocated to
deduction and suggestion.
The conclusion of this research is, because Molana has composed Mathnavi ,
being full of emotions, mystic singing and dancing, mystical points have been
interpreted and scattered among his stories. So to find out Molana"s point of view in
each of them one cannot help searching all six volumes of Mathnavi in great detail
and care. This research is an effort to collect Molana"s view points regarding quest in
logical and systematic method to leave no need for researchers of Mathnavi"s mystical
ideas to go through all six volumes of Mathnavi for this topic.
The manner of researching in this thesis is mainly rational analysis and library
method. In preparing and compilation of this thesis twenty seven main references as
well as twenty four secondary references have been used and contains one hundred
forty four pages.
